Refund Policy

Overview

This Refund Policy applies to all paid advisory services offered by Magnolia Path Consulting Group, including Succession Readiness Assessments, Family Governance Workshops, Transition Planning Advisory retainers, and Next-Generation Coaching sessions. It does not apply to third-party costs (venue hire, travel expenses, legal fees) incurred on your behalf.

Cancellation by client

Before work begins: If you cancel after signing an engagement agreement but before we commence discovery interviews or preparation, you are entitled to a full refund of any deposit paid, minus an administrative fee of NT$5,000.

After work begins: Once discovery interviews or preparation activities have started, the deposit is non-refundable. Any additional payments made for partially completed work will be refunded on a pro-rata basis for undelivered components, calculated at our sole discretion based on hours invested and materials prepared.

Retainer engagements: Transition Planning Advisory retainers require 30 days written notice to terminate. Fees for the current month are non-refundable. Prepaid months beyond the notice period will be refunded in full.

Cancellation by Magnolia Path

We reserve the right to cancel an engagement if: a conflict of interest emerges, a family member involved in the engagement is also engaged by an opposing party, or conduct during the engagement makes productive advisory work impossible (including threats, harassment of staff, or deliberate misrepresentation of material facts). In such cases, we will refund any portion of fees corresponding to undelivered services.

Rescheduling

Workshops: A Family Governance Workshop may be rescheduled once without penalty if notice is given at least 14 days before the scheduled date. Rescheduling with less than 14 days notice incurs a NT$25,000 rebooking fee to cover preparation time and advisor scheduling.

Coaching sessions: Individual coaching sessions may be rescheduled with at least 48 hours notice at no charge. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours notice are charged in full.

Assessment interviews: Individual interview appointments may be rescheduled with 24 hours notice. Repeated rescheduling (more than twice per participant) may result in timeline extension fees.

No-shows

Failure to attend a scheduled workshop, coaching session, or interview without prior notice is treated as a completed session and is not eligible for refund or rescheduling.

Non-refundable items

The following are non-refundable under all circumstances:

• Administrative fees (NT$5,000 cancellation fee)
• Work already delivered (completed reports, workshop facilitation, coaching sessions attended)
• Third-party expenses already incurred (travel bookings, venue deposits, printing)
• Coaching session blocks where more than half the sessions have been used

Refund process

To request a refund, email info@workspace-magnoliapath.click with your name, engagement reference number, and reason for the request. We will acknowledge receipt within two business days and provide a decision within ten business days.

Approved refunds are processed via bank transfer to the original payer within 14 business days of approval. We do not issue refunds to third-party accounts.

Partial refunds for dissatisfaction

If you are dissatisfied with a delivered service, contact us within 14 days of delivery. We will first attempt to remedy the concern — for example, by revising a report section or providing an additional consultation session. If a remedy is not possible or acceptable, a partial refund may be offered based on the specific circumstances. We do not offer refunds for disagreement with advisory conclusions or recommendations.

Deposits

Standard deposit terms require 50% payment upon signing for fixed-scope engagements. Deposits secure advisor scheduling and preparation time. Deposit refund eligibility is governed by the cancellation terms above.

Materials and intellectual property

Refund of fees does not entitle you to retain or use deliverables that have been provided prior to the refund. Upon full refund of a fixed-scope engagement, any reports or documents delivered must be destroyed or returned, and you may not rely on their content.

Disputes

If you disagree with a refund decision, you may request a review by emailing info@workspace-magnoliapath.click with “Refund Review” in the subject line. A senior advisor not involved in the original engagement will review within 15 business days. This internal review does not limit your rights under applicable Taiwan consumer protection law.
